Uniquely located near Pinhão in the heart of the Douro Region

Located in perhaps the most beautiful wine region in the world in a protected wine village in the north of Portugal. Provesende is located six hundred meters in the heart of the Douro area (Unesco's World Heritage) and about 8 km from Pinhao, where the men play domino on the terrace in front of the local pub and the women come to do their laundry at the communal wash house.

The Douro is also the area where nowadays wines of the highest quality are made using the most modern techniques.

In the authentic house we have created three studios on the ground floor and two attractive rooms in the upper house. These can be booked separately, but you can also rent several accommodations (or the whole house) if you are traveling with a larger group.

“We stayed with our friends for 5 nights at Mesao Provesende. Jet and Ronald were wonderful hosts and the rooms were large and ours had a wonderful view of the most beautiful wisteria in bloom. Just beautiful. Jet cooked us 2 delicious meals while we were there and Ronald served matching wines, great value and a lot of fun "
